ABOUT OUR PRACTICE
Started by Dr. Geoffrey Davis in 1979, Aiea Vision Clinic moved from Aiea Medical Building to our current location at the Pearlridge Office Center in 1988. The mission of Aiea Vision Clinic is to provide excellent and comprehensive medical, surgical and family eye care for the Honolulu and Leeward Oahu community.
Serving this community so long, we have had the pleasure of caring for several generations of the same families over the years. Our patients come from all over the island of Oahu – Makaha, Waianae, Ewa Beach, Waipahu, Mililani, Pearl City, Aiea, Waimanalo and Honolulu. We even have patients that come back to visit us from the outer islands or the mainland!
Our clinic provides comprehensive eye exams, contact lens, cataract and refractive surgery and the optical department has a wide selection of frames and sunglasses. It is important to see an ophthalmologist or “eye doctor”, such as Dr. Davis, for a comprehensive eye exam regularly. These exams include a thorough measurement for glasses (refraction), an evaluation of the health of the external structures of the eye as well as detailed examination of the internal portion of the eye to detect cataracts, glaucoma and retinal diseases such as macular degeneration or damage from diabetes. If certain conditions are found, treatment by medications or surgery may be necessary. Refractive surgery utilizes a laser to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. This may eliminate the need for eyeglasses.
Our friendly staff is ready to make an appointment for you and your family and can help determine your insurance coverage and co-payments for exams with Dr. Davis. We accept most insurance plans but as there are ever increasing numbers of insurance plans and coverage, be sure to inform our staff of all your insurers and bring insurance cards with you at the time of your appointment.
